Why rise against is the best

This list was definitely part of the online research I did while putting my list together. Drones is 1 on my list of the most underrated Rise Against songs! Great list! Rise Against usually opens up concerts with this song so it was a natural fit for this list.

The overall melodic nature and changing tempo of the song is irresistible! I love the diversity of the lyrics and the song meaning!

It is very, very well written! If it would be more popular, I bet it would be in the top 3, along with Black Masks and Gasoline. If they all did, these would be higher up. This, swing life away, paper wings, tip the scales, and dancing for rain are stand outs for me, the rest from the album are also great.

However, this is one of the few songs that does. I remember this specifically: I was in high school and I was a skateboarder with long hair down to my shoulder and one jock got in my face, told me to cut my hair, and yelled a derogatory slur for a gay person at me so the whole hallway heard it.

And he was a bigger dude than me. I respect you now because you can buy a house! In this song I wanted to call that out with some urgency. The thing that you were waiting for might always have been there and you never really embraced it. We all make excuses for ourselves, and we should all be helping each other snap out of it. It just happened that way and I remember embracing it.

Am I squandering an opportunity by doing more, or am I being really smart about treating my life a little more like a marathon and less like a sprint? Rise Against. Svalbard in The K! My heart goes out to the bands and musicians and artists where this was supposed to be their year to break, and I hope that this window stays open long enough for them. Support for workers in the music industry in the UK has been incredibly poor. How have you found it in America? The bigger venues are hurting too, but a lot of them have more resources at their disposal, but the independent venues need the help.

These buildings are irreplaceable a lot of the time, too; as a band who have rolled around the world playing all these shows, you really come to appreciate those old venues.

In happier news, we recently got the first new Rise Against music in three years, Broken Dreams, Inc. Do you get nervous about releasing new music at this point? I think, had I heard that sentence before we put the song out, then yes, I probably would have been more nervous.

And so I was so excited to see this song getting the attention it deserves, as opposed to if it was, like, track eight on a record.

This has been a cool, unique way to get it out there, too. Your lyrics were written long before the pandemic and any of the craziness of , and yet they have this dystopian feel and cross over into a superhero world really well.
